Demonstration eco-village projects illustrate the immense potential of social and environmental entrepreneurship to an array of participants (e.g. local people, entrepreneurs, students, youth, researchers, tourists and scientists from different parts of the world). SEEs promote the concept of ‘job creator’ rather than ‘job seeker’ and aim to stop ‘brain drain’. In particular, SEEs are concerned with creating the necessary skills for youth who are interested in establishing opportunities for the local people. SEEs emphasize ‘green enterprises’ which respect nature and culture focusing on practical education, skills and knowledge.
